Scott is a seasoned advisor and analyst with over a decade of experience helping senior executive officials better fulfill business and mission goals by developing strategic and tactical objectives in response to emerging political, economic, and technological trends. An award winning researcher, Scott’s work has ranged from writing and presenting technical papers with NASA staff to publishing articles in leading Harvard policy journals to helping Meghan O’Sullivan, former deputy national security director for Iraq and Afghanistan, write a book on U.S. energy and foreign policy.

Scott is also a Senior Data Scientist at Ninja Analytics, Inc. a boutique data science and intelligence analysis company. At Ninja, Scott helps public and private entities apply data science techniques to address transnational and geo-economic issues such as illicit finance and anti-money laundering (AML), narcotics smuggling, border security, and international trade. He is also and adjunct professor at The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs where he teaches a course on Political Risk Analysis within the Security Studies Program.

As well, Scott served as the Director of Analytics for GlobalWonks, Inc., an online marketplace for on-demand global affairs and political risk consulting services where he was responsible for designing and implementing the firm’s data and analytics strategy.

Prior to GlobalWonks, he was a Senior Economist and Senior Lead Scientist for Booz Allen Hamilton’s Strategic Innovation Group (SIG) and Commercial Analytics practice. There he developed, led, and conducted analyses for over 10 clients including the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the Presidential Oil Spill Commission, and NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD). Prior to Booz Allen, Scott was a commercial consultant providing economic and financial analysis services to the engineering, insurance, and banking industries. 

He holds a B.A. from Gettysburg College, a M.B.A. from Georgetown University, a Certificate in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a M.P.A from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Political Science and a member of the Intelligence National Security Alliance (INSA).
